An excellent engineer
In Stuttgart, too, the legacy of the civil engineer is visible in many places: for example, he designed the roof of the Mercedes-Benz Arena, Terminal 3 of Stuttgart Airport and the observation tower on Killesberg.
In addition to his work as an engineer, Schlaich taught for more than 25 years as a professor at the Institute for Solid Construction at the University of Stuttgart.
