The 18,000 users who renounced the subsidies had registered to continue with that benefit, but in recent days they decided to unsubscribe when it became known that the central bank evaluates prohibiting the purchase of savings dollars for those who continue to receive that state assistance.
During the past week, one of the directors of the monetary authority, Agustin D’Attellisassured that the possibility of preventing access to the quota of US$ 200 per month in dollar savings for those who receive subsidies for public services is being studied.
Martello acknowledged that, to date, there is a high number of households -some 4 million- that have not registered to maintain subsidies, and assured that the ENRE will go out to identify them.
According to official estimates, of 11.5 million households throughout the country, 7.5 million were registered in the Registry of Access to Energy Subsidies (RASE).
In radio statements, the official considered: “Possibly, at the time of the arrival of the bill and the comparison with what was being paid before, many people will realize that they did not register. For this reason, the registry will be open even after the bill arrives. “The mission of the ENRE is to protect the rights of users.
The agency has to keep an eye on them, regardless of the interests of the companies that are bidding to obtain returns without providing the appropriate services,” he stressed.
The registry that allows you to request that the subsidies be maintained -according to family income- continues to be open in www.argentina.gob.ar/subsidios.
“What we have to guarantee at this stage is that the removal of subsidies has as little impact as possible, due to the macroeconomic context, and that the subsidies reach the person who needs it most,” Martello said.
