Among the main data, it stands out that in August of this year the sale price in dollars per square meter, for houses and apartments, fell 1.3% and 1.6%, respectively, compared to the previous month. “A year-on-year drop (relative to August 2021) is observed in the sale price of houses and apartments of 8.9% and 8.6%, respectively,” it read.
Regarding the operations carried out, the report indicates: “In August 2022, the markets for the sale of houses and apartments in AMBA are down from July 2021 and October 2019, respectively”.
Fluctuating rents
As for rentals, the price per square meter in apartments increased by 2.2% monthly, although the houses have a fall of 2.1%. If measured year-on-year, the difference is remarkable: “In AMBA there is a 25% drop in the housing market, and a 2.4% increase in the apartment market,” they reported.
With this same form of measurement, between August 2021 and the same month of 2022, “a drop in constant prices of the median price per square meter of house rental is observed of 6.8% in CABA, 32% in North GBA and 5.7% in GBA West, while GBA South registered an increase of 6.5%”.
In the departments, “increases were recorded in CABA and GBA Norte and Sur of 7.2%, 6% and 17.2%, respectively, while GBA Oeste registered a drop of 4.7%,” says the survey.
