“We are digitizing the airspace for unmanned aviation”: This is how Thomas Neubauer from Altenberg describes the start-up Dimetor, which he co-founded, and the associated AirborneRF platform. For the Digitalos, the digital prize of the OÖNachrichten and its strong partners, Neubauer applied in the “digital start-ups” category. All those who also excel in the digital world and have set up their base camp in Upper Austria can submit their application documents until Saturday, September 3rd digitalos.nachrichten.at Submit.
AirborneRF is a platform to better analyze data in aviation. The software helps to calculate the 3D signal spaces in which air traffic control authorities can define and approve the routes for commercial drone flights.
The start-up sees itself as a link between aviation and telecommunications. It was about a “billion market” that was just beginning. Operators such as British Telecom, Swisscom and Vodafone are already working with the solution from the Mühlviertel, says Neubauer.
Submissions for the Digitalos are possible in three other categories: Digital Transformation, Digital Commitment and Digital Personality. We are looking for companies that have successfully converted an analogue to a digital business model, clubs, institutions, organizations and groups that have distinguished themselves through digital commitment to society, and people in digital public life with original content, for example in social media. The Digitalos Gala is on October 6th in the OÖN Forum in the Promenaden Galerien in Linz.
