“In terms of international operations and transfer prices, operations not adjusted to normal market conditions were identified and we detected tax differences that exceed $5,500 million in the last year. Regarding the investigations on the tax behavior of the sectors that have increased their profitability with revenues of more than $5 billion, we found inconsistencies between their accounting and tax results, lack of determination of income tax during several fiscal periods and the transfer of tax breaks from one year to another in an inadmissible manner for several billion pesos”, they pointed out from the agency.
As a result of these control tasks, the General Tax Directorate made fines for fraudulent declarations of the Value Added Tax and Profits; for non-payment of income tax, value added tax and tax on debits and credits; for omissions in the sworn declarations of the Solidarity and Extraordinary Contribution and, also, applied fines to the withholding and collection agents for the lack of payment of the tax received or withheld.
Finally, sources from the agency confirmed that various criminal complaints were filed for improper use of subsidies, simple evasion and illicit tax association.
