67% of businessmen consider that the economy will be worse in the next 6 months

The report was carried out just after the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, took office, therefore, it does not collect the announcements of measures or the news of the trip that the official is carrying out in the United States

33% of those consulted said that the economy within the next six months is going to be “much worse”, 37% consider that the situation is going to be moderately worse, 16% the same, 14% better and only 1% suppose that it will be much better.

Nonetheless, the perception of employers is better for their own company. The survey indicates that only 10% see their company as much worse off, while 39% believe it will be moderately worse off. 41% assume that there will be no changes, 9% assume that it will improve moderately and only 1% that it will be much better.

Daniel González, executive director of IDEA, rescued that within the framework of an obviously more pessimistic general scenario “the entrepreneur “is a little more optimistic is the vision for his own company”. González said that there is “a very high concern about inflation” although He considered that with the passing of the months, when some effects of the measures implemented by Massa are seen, expectations could be moderated.

IDEA’s executive director stated that the businessmen stated that the fiscal deficit is one of the elements that play the worst against the economy. “I have never seen such a broad consensus regarding the identification of deficit reduction as the main lever to improve the economy”, he indicated. The survey reveals that for 81% of those consulteds was the first problem that the government should solve. There is also the issue of institutional security to ensure investment.
