For its part, the division corresponding to “Textile products” showed a decrease close to zero.

During July, the production of machinery and equipment registered a year-on-year growth of 21.1%. According to the report of the Agricultural Machinery Industry for the second quarter of 2022, the units sold of nationally produced tractors registered a growth of 19% compared to the same period in 2021.

As for the manufacture of appliances for domestic use, there was a year-on-year growth of 15.2% in the month. The most outstanding were corresponding to washing machines, hot water tanks and refrigerators. For its part, the manufacture of other machinery for special use presented a year-on-year growth of 6.8%.

As for the sector of motor vehicles, bodies, trailers and auto parts there was a year-on-year rise of 21.6% in July. The production of motor vehicles increased by 34.9% year-on-year. According to data from the Association of Automotive Factories (ADEFA), in July 2022, there was a year-on-year increase in both the number of automobile units produced (51.2%), as well as utility vehicles (29.8%).

The Indec also reported that the manufacture of auto parts shows a year-on-year increase of 12.2% in July. In turn, rubber and plastic products rose 6.8% in July and the manufacture of tires had a year-on-year increase of 16.7% in July. Regarding the production of gasoline, there was a year-on-year increase of 12.9% in July. For its part, the production of diesel oil had a year-on-year growth of 6.5% in July.

Non-metallic mineral products grew 5.3% in July. For its part, the glass and glass products industry recorded year-on-year growth of 13.1% in July. The division corresponding to food and beverages had a year-on-year increase of 0.8% in July.
