While food products and beverages showed in the seventh month of the year a level of utilization of the installed capacity of 63.6%higher than that registered in July of the previous year (62.2%), linked, mainly, to a growth in the level of utilization of the capacity of the water and soft drink plants and of the beef production plants.
In another order, non-metallic mineral products showed an installed capacity utilization level of 81.1%, higher than the same month of 2021 (77.2%), as a consequence, fundamentally, of a greater production of cement and of glass.
At the same time, rubber and plastic products presented a level of utilization of the installed capacity of 53.8%, higher than that registered in the same month of 2021 (52.4%), as a consequence of higher levels of manufacturing of manufactured plastic.
It should be noted that the indicator for the use of installed capacity in industry measures the proportion used, in percentage terms, of the productive capacity of the industrial sector. The survey comprises a panel of between 600 and 700 companies.
For its calculation, what is effectively the maximum production that each sector can obtain with the installed capacity is taken into account.
