Due to the growth of the home office after the pandemic, the Executive Power made the decision to grant benefits to those who choose Argentina as a destination to work remotely.
Since May of this year, the temporary visa program for foreigners who perform work tasks virtually has been launched. The announcement was made by the Minister of the Interior, Peter’s Wado; and its pair of Tourism and Sports, Matthias Lammenstogether with the head of the National Directorate of Migration (DNM), Florence Carignanoand the Secretary of Tourism Promotion, Yanina Martinez.
The program “Digital Nomads” is a new kind of visa which includes a program Benefits with the objective of attracting this community and generating a positive economic impact in the income of foreign currency to the country.

“This digital nomad policy is another opportunity in the international labor market for foreign exchange to arrive, for people to live the Argentine experience and for those who return to their countries to be the main sellers of this beautiful country that is Argentina,” he said in his moment De Pedro, while Lammens stated: “Thanks to this joint work with the Ministry of the Interior, we are going to grant them a temporary visa and a lot of benefits in different parts of the country.”
“We are adapting to what is happening in the world, and for this reason we have generated this new visa, which is a visa for digital nomads, for those people who want to come to work, but also to walk around and enjoy Argentina. We have generated a tool so that all provinces can add benefits to this co-working visa, both in National Parks and in all attractions and in all tourist places in Argentina”, added Carignano.

From the “Digital Nomads” program, the Government enabled access to a temporary visa for foreigners who come to the country to work remotely.
The visa is granted for a period of 180 days, which can be extended only once. This is the same period as that granted to those who wish to apply for temporary residence, with the exception that those who access this visa may provide services remotely in favor of natural or legal persons domiciled abroad.
The program also includes a seal for hotels so that nomads can quickly identify accommodations that meet the necessary requirements to live and work in Argentina.
The plan is also consistent with a series of measures carried out by the National Institute for Tourism Promotion (INPROTUR), with the collaboration of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Nation, to attract digital nomads to the country. One of them is the card. Visit Argentinaframed in the “Argentine Treasures” program, which will allow foreign tourists who visit the country to obtain points that can be exchanged for gastronomic or recreational experiences after personal activation.
In addition to the visa benefits and points through the Visit Argentina card, Aerolineas Argentinas offers special rates for this type of tourist.
