Argentine Trains transported more than 5.5 million tons so far this year

In this sense, in the last three months TAC has maintained an average that exceeds 800,000 tons transported; which is in itself a permanent record.

The sources highlighted two events that occurred at the beginning of September that make it possible to project sustained growth for the coming months: the reactivation of the Posadas (Misiones) – Encarnación (Paraguay) international crossing, which will generate new cargo flows; and the arrival at TAC of 75 of the 90 containers, to supply the demand for agricultural products, all designed and manufactured by the national industry.

The axes worked by TAC consolidate the objectives proposed within the Rail Transport Modernization Plan developed by the Ministry of Transport, led by alexis warriorsuch as ordering logistics and facilitating the arrival of the railway to more and more regional economies, promoting multimodalism through the incorporation of direct loading points and the enabling of logistics nodes such as the one inaugurated in San Francisco, Córdoba and Güemes in It jumps that advances in its execution.

In this sense, TAC focuses on continuing to work together with producers and private companies in the construction of more rail accesses to production plants, which allows cargo to be secured at a lower logistics cost and savings in transportation time.

In this regard, with the addition of the access of Pampa de los Guanacos in Santiago del Estero, of the Brugnolli firm and that of the Association of Argentine Cooperatives in the town of Levalle in Córdoba, there are already eleven new points enabled in the last two years.

With 1,387,096 tons accumulated in the year, the agricultural products that circulated through the Belgrano line, a route that runs through the center and north of the country, set a record in the monthly volume transported.

Meanwhile, aggregates -a category of industrial bulk that includes products such as stone, flux, clinker, coking coal and sand, among others- registered higher levels in the three lines than in the previous two years, a fact that is related to the growth in the construction industry and that shed an accumulated total in 2022 that exceeds by 81% what was dispatched in 2019 for this product.

Finally, in the consumer goods sector that includes beverages, cement, cellulose pulp, among others, an increase of nearly 200% is observed for the three lines, and this is due to commercial agreements in rehabilitated sectors that made new traffic possible. such as Misiones – Buenos Aires and other ascending ones such as between Buenos Aires and Mendoza and Santiago del Estero and Salta.
