In the case of Total Basic Basket (CBT)which sets the poverty ceiling, the monthly increase was 7.44% (against 7.92% in July) and the interannual of 78.75% (69.45% in the previous month), while the Total Basket (CT), which in different proportions delimits the fragile middle sector, the middle class and the wealthy sectors, rose 7.02% in the month (less than 8 .12% in July) and 77.33% in relation to August of last year (69.24% in the previous measurement).
The amounts indicated do not include the payment of housing rental or common expenses, as they are not considered consumption expenses.

The evolution of the baskets in August reflected a parity in the increase in food and expenses in services and rates, which are not part of indigence expenses, which is why the percentages had a percentage increase with minimal differences.
The situation is different in the year-on-year comparison, if one takes into account that the increases in the CBA are between six and seven percentage points higher than those of the baskets that measure poverty and the middle class.

The National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC) will announce its measurement of the basic baskets next Wednesday, September 21.
This measurement will take on additional importance, due to the fact that in the criteria for segmentation of the subsidies for public service rates, users with incomes greater than 3.5 times the CBT are excluded from the benefit.
If the measurement of the Buenos Aires Statistical Directorate were taken as a reference, that level would be located at $424,055.90 per month.
Unlike the INDEC, which only recognizes the categories of poor and indigent, its counterpart from CABA has six social strata in its classification.

In August, the resources needed to be included in each category were as follows: in a situation of indigence, up to $65,737.85; non-indigent poverty, from $65,737.86 to $121,158.82; and non-vulnerable poor, from $121,158.83 to $148,909.02.
In the case of the fragile middle sector, from $148,909.03 to $186,136.38; middle class, from $186,136.29 to $595,636.11; and wealthy sectors, $595,636.12 or more.
