The Viennese specialist group UBIT together with the AMS Vienna invited to the IT job dating in the Chamber of Commerce and numerous applicants followed the call. Time slots ensured a smooth process despite the large crowd.
Screening of applicants and IT skills
“Thanks to this modern form of recruiting, promising contacts were made very quickly and effectively, which will certainly lead to numerous jobs,” says Rüdiger Linhart, spokesman for the Viennese IT service providers. As part of the IT job dating on September 9th, 140 positions were available at a total of 20 companies. Overall, the AMS counted around 450 people interested in a job.
The IT-Job-Dating in Vienna arose from a joint initiative of the professional group IT in the Vienna Chamber of Commerce UBIT and the Vienna Public Employment Service. The aim of the project is to bring together supply and demand in the IT sector even more quickly and effectively. For this purpose, all persons registered with the AMS as looking for work were screened to determine whether they were eligible for IT job dating.
At the same time, numerous IT companies in Vienna had expressed their interest in the 20 exhibition stands planned in the Austrian Chamber of Commerce in Vienna-Wieden.
Tips for applicants and other events
The matching between IT companies and potential IT applicants is to be further intensified. As early as September 24, 2022, applicants will have the next opportunity to realize their dream job at a Viennese IT company at the UBIT job fair in Vienna’s Marx Halle.
