In six days, more than 400,000 people visited the new IAA Mobility auto show in Munich. The organizers are very satisfied.
The organizers rated the new IAA Mobility auto show as a great success. “Over 400,000 participants in just six days are a clear vote with their feet,” said the president of the VDA industry association, Hildegard Müller.
Visitors and exhibitors were very satisfied with the new concept of presenting cars and bicycles throughout the city and not just in the exhibition halls. “The mix of exhibitors and the opportunity to test innovations directly were rated particularly positively,” said VDA and the exhibition company.
“We took a bold step and were rewarded by the visitors,” said Müller. Two thirds were younger than 40 years. 86 percent of the visitors surveyed rated the concept developed after the last IAA in Frankfurt as good or very good. “In some places we would even have to temporarily limit access due to overcrowding.”
Several car companies such as Toyota, General Motors or the Opel parent company Stellantis were not present at the new IAA. However, Müller expressed himself optimistically “that after the end of the pandemic in 2023 we will also be able to welcome many international exhibitors who this time could not be there due to travel restrictions”.
