Buenos Aires exports grew by 13.9% in July, the best record for this month in 13 years

According to the official, “the Buenos Aires export complexes are deepening their international insertion and contributing record foreign exchange in a very complex context. The Province is the productive heart of the country and the main contributor to the national external sustainability.”

In addition, “in July the Province contributed 37.2% of the value of the country’s foreign sales, being the main exporter of Manufactures of Industrial Origin and Primary Products at the national level,” it reported in a statement.

In this sense, from the economy portfolio it was indicated that the Provincial Exports report carried out by the Provincial Directorate of Statistics of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance highlights that the items that drove growth in relation to July 2021 were Manufactures of Agricultural Origin , which totaled US$ 1,007 million and an increase of 25.3%; Manufactures of Industrial Origin, which reached US$ 939 million and registered an increase of 2.6%; Primary Products had sales of US$ 687 million and an increase of 7.6%; and finally, Fuels and Energy added sales for US$ 257 million and a rise of 42.2%.

In addition, from the Economy portfolio it was indicated that the main commercial partner of the Province during July 2022 was Brazil, with US$ 592 million and an increase of 7.2% compared to the same month of 2021; the second main destination was China, which reached US$ 266 million; followed by India that registered purchases for US$ 220 million.

Meanwhile, in the accumulated to July 2022, exports from the province of Buenos Aires grew 30% compared to the same period of the previous year and reached US$ 19,624 million, the maximum value accumulated in seven months of the entire available series.
