Dairy company fired all employees who blocked the plant

Protest had started on July 18 for complaints of delays in the payment of wages, bonuses or union contributions. The company has two plants that process 100,000 liters per day. According to the technical director and representative of the company, Arthur Diazthe plant was operating at half capacity: “Today the factory is at half capacity, one plant stopped and the other operating at 50% of its capacity. It’s difficult, but today we have 26 workers who put their shoulders to it, who never failed to show up for work and we are fighting today for those workers, for their families and wanting the factory to start working fully, with new workers who go taking and training”.

In addition, he added: “The situation remained difficult. It was getting too long and untenable and unfortunately you want to keep working and keep the jobs and you have very limited options. After all this time we made the decision to notify the dismissal of the 26 workers and 3 delegates”, he said in dialogue with Continental Agro.

A month ago, the company had released a video of its owner, Alejandra Bada Blanco, where he complained about the blockade and the difficulties that this implied for production. National leaders of the PRO expressed their solidarity with the company, including macriwho tweeted “These mafia events are going to end, it’s not long now. It’s not long now,” along with a note in which they interview Bada Blanco.
