Over the past few weeks, the editors of Oberösterreichische Nachrichten have received more than 60 applications for the country’s largest digital award: from start-ups and established entrepreneurs to innovative ideas from clubs, groups and institutions.
At the Digitalos 2022 and the big gala in the Promenaden Galleries in Linz on October 6 (7:30 p.m.), Upper Austria’s digital pioneers are to be brought in front of the curtain and onto the stage. The quality of the submissions was very high and did not make it easy for the digital experts at the JKU and the chair of the jury, Martina Mara, Professor of Robot Psychology, to make a preselection. On this page you can see the 20 candidates who made it to the final selection – in four different categories. The fifth category of the Digitalos, that for digital pioneering work (lifetime work), is awarded directly by the jury.
Now the favorites have to pass a second test. Because now it’s the jury’s turn: OÖN and its partners, Sparkasse Oberösterreich, Tabakfabrik Linz, the state of Upper Austria, the city of Linz, KPMG and Wiener Städtische choose the winners of the fourth edition of the Digitalos. The winners will be chosen from the five nominees in the main categories Digital Start-ups, Digital Transformation and, this year, Digital Commitment. The winner in the Digital Personality category was determined by public voting on nachrichten.at. All winners will be announced and honored at the Digitalos Gala on October 6th at the Promenaden Galleries.
