Government and companies will launch Now 12 for televisions

After the meeting that took place this Thursday, AFARTE sources confirmed the decision of the Ministry of Commerce to advance in Now 12 in televisions for the World Cup. It still remains to be defined: which models will be offered (since it will be for some measures), the installments and the rate. Currently, the average Annual Nominal Rate (TNA) of the Program is around 59.08% for financing in three, six, 12, 18 and 24 fixed installments. After the meeting, negotiations will begin next week with the banks to improve the rate and Now 12 is expected to be available in mid-October.

The Now 12 program allows you to buy nationally manufactured televisions in up to 24 installments, without discriminating between models. The industry expects a more targeted incentive program. During the first half of this year, Now 12 registered 32 million operations for a total of 548 billion pesos billed and an average ticket, in May 2022, of 19,224 pesos. At the beginning of July, the Government had confirmed the extension of the Now 12 program until January 31, 2023.

Purchases with Now 12 represented 24.92% of credit card transactions in the second quarter of the year, according to a survey carried out by Prisma Medios de Pago, with an upward trend compared to the 24.60% reached in the first quarter of this year and 22.24% in the second quarter of 2021.
