In November, the removal of subsidies for medium and high income users will begin, which will be segmented according to the geographical area of residence. For high incomes, the removal of subsidies will be once and will have an increase of 150%. For average income, the increase will be 50%.
Gas
Gas users who will lose subsidies for being considered part of Level 1 should start receiving 20% increases in their rates from next month. However, the improvements are delayed since the Ministry of Energy has not yet delivered the segmented list of users to the distributors, nor has the maximum level of subsidized consumption for Level 3 (average income) been published.
Light
Electricity bills will begin to arrive with 50% increases for AMBA users considered Level 1.
telecommunications
The Government authorized two increases for internet rates, fixed and mobile telephony, cable and satellite television that companies will be able to apply in October and December. Through Resolution No. 1754/2022 published in the Official Gazette, the National Communications Entity (ENACOM) established two increases: the first, from October 1 of 19.8% and the second, from October 1 December that will be 9.8%.
Prior to the announced increase, there were two other price increases for telephony, internet and television. It was during the month of April, an increase of 9.5% in each service. These increases were applied in May and June.
Prepaid
The private medicine service fees will rise 11.53% next month, after the authorization of the Superintendency of Health Services. This is the eighth increase of the year, after the prepaid rose 9% in January, 6% in March, 6% in April, 8% in May, 10% in June, 4% in July and 11.34% in August . In this way there will be an increase of 87.9% in 10 months and the December increase still remains.
Expenses
In October, the building managers will collect the third of the seven installments of the extraordinary bonus of $134,000 agreed to by the Single Union of Horizontal Rental Building Workers (Suterh). The fee to pay is $18,000. The salary of the building worker represents 40% of the common expenses in the buildings.
Rentals
With a Rental Law that continues to cause problems and it seems that there will be no change, at least for now, tenants who have to renew their rental contracts in October must do so with an increase of 67.31%, according to that established by the monthly index of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic.
To calculate the increase in the rental price, both owners and tenants can consult the Index of Leasing Contracts (ICL) published every day by the BCRA on its official website.
This indicator considers the variation of inflation (according to the CPI measured by INDEC) and wages, according to the average remuneration of stable workers (Ripte). To apply the adjustment based on the ICL, a formula must be used taking into account the value of two dates: the start of the contract and the date on which the increase will be made.
The index can be consulted by entering http://bcra.gob.ar/, then clicking on the “statistics” tab and then on “main variables”. The “ICL” option is at the bottom of the long list that is displayed.
The user must select the start and end dates of the period to be consulted. First, you must enter the date on which the contract was signed, to know what the rate was at that time, and when the adjustment will be made.
Then, take the current rental price and divide it by the value of the index with the start date of the contract. Finally, that amount must be multiplied by the index of the date on which the rent figure changes.
In conclusion, the formula that must be applied is the total rent divided by the rate on the date the contract was signed, multiplied by the rate on the day the increase is applied to it. That value that it yields will be the amount of rent that the tenant must pay throughout the year.
Domestic workers
In August, the National Commission for Work in Private Houses (CNTCP) confirmed the increases that domestic workers will have until the end of the year. One of them will be charged in October at 9% and responds to the four tranches of a total increase of 36.9%.
fuels
Fuel prices will rise between 1% and 4% from next Saturday, October 1, due to a partial update of the tax component that had been postponed for several months, as confirmed by the Secretary of Energy, Flavia Royón. The increases will be around $4 per liter for gasoline and $3 for diesel.
