“The closing number of operations is US$8.123 million of Argentine exports, which has an impact on the income of foreign currency and reserves to the Central Bank”, the minister explained.
While “the total income, declared, paid and incorporated into the operations of the Central is US $ 7,646 million” plus “a balance that continues to enter in the coming days.”
Massa thanked “the entire value chain” and the national authorities, since, he considered, the proceeds demonstrate “the capacity of the agro-export sector when it comes to playing a leading role.”
In that sense, he highlighted: “We had the participation of more than 44,622 between producers and legal entities that completed the more than 13,725,198 tons marketed to date.”
“More than 32,000 are individual producers and 12,468 are legal entities, brokers, companies and the entire agro-export complex,” he added.
“In terms of results and accumulation of BCRA reserves, this has been extremely important. It had an impact that gives us peace of mind.” the minister stressed.
In this sense, he emphasized again: “This aims to reaffirm the capacity of our field, to help consolidate the goal of accumulation of reserves, the strengthening of our currencies from the accumulation of reserves and agro-export capacity.”
The measure was agreed upon with the main export complexes, which undertook to liquidate soybeans and derivatives for at least US$5 billion during this month, an objective that was already exceeded last week.
Massa advanced announcements for vulnerable sectors
Once the matter related to the collection and liquidation by the producers was finished, Minister Massa assured that next week measures for vulnerable sectors will be announced based on the success of the program.
“We understand that it is very important that the producer feels that what he paid additionally and what the State put in excess in terms of implicit values returns to our agricultural communities but also returns to protect the most vulnerable sectors,” he said.
Although Massa did not detail what it will be about, a few days ago it became known that the Government began to analyze the delivery of a bonus for these social groups.
Through a government spokesman, Gabriela Cerutiassured that “it is an issue that is being evaluated and treated.”
