That was the declared goal of the airport boss, Norbert Draskovits, to get a third daily flight to Frankfurt (back). On October 30th they will be back – but not every day, but only four times a week.
On Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, Air Dolomiti takes off at 10.45 a.m. in the direction of the largest airport in the EU, with the return connection at 12.30 p.m.
The remaining scheduled flight connections from Linz are Frankfurt and Düsseldorf. The restart of air traffic in the corona pandemic turned into a tough project, business travelers increasingly switched to other airports. “The additional route offers business and city travelers even more flexibility and connection options in intercontinental and European traffic,” writes the airport in a media release.
Draskovits is quoted as saying: “For us, the increase is another step towards returning to normality. With the additional connection in the morning, we can offer better transfer options, which in turn will have a positive effect on demand.”
