The first solar photovoltaic energy park lands in La Pampa

Through a public tender, Pampetrol awarded the supply of equipment and construction of a photovoltaic park to be located in the town of Victorica to the company Ingalfa SA, which with an investment of US$ 8.1 million and within a period of estimated execution of 270 days will allow the generation of renewable energy for the network.

Under the orbit of the Ministry of Energy and Mining and the ICOMEX Agency, the Pampas government launched a package of financial and tax benefits for photovoltaic investment and that also stimulates the reconversion of already installed companies of all items so that they go from being consumers to generators of part of the energy they use for their operations. “Specifically, it seeks to promote investments for the generation of clean energy with a medium-term plan and begin the replacement and moderation of consumption that the time demands,” said Matías Toso, Secretary of Energy and Mining of La Pampa.

In addition, an ambitious distributed generation program was launched that will allow companies of all sectors that already operate in the province to go from being only energy consumers to also being producers.

Through a business model developed by the ICOMEX Agency and a specific line of credit for reconversion, companies of all sectors can make an investment in photovoltaic energy to replace up to 50% of the consumption demanded by their own operations. The plan has a substantial impact on the business and the environment, and hence the interest it arouses in the productive ecosystem.

But not only the energy agenda is at the center of the reconversion. The focus is essentially on industries that have innovation as the core of their business, which includes technology and knowledge industries. “We have the strategic location on the map, the climate, the qualified human resources and the infrastructure, financial, regulatory, labor and tax incentives aligned to transform La Pampa into a true hub for innovation industries, and to leave La Pampa Pampa to the world”, said the general director of the La Pampa Investment and Foreign Trade Agency (ICOMEX), Sebastián Lastiri.

In this sense, he pointed out that the competitive advantages of La Pampa for the establishment of knowledge industries in the provincial territory are multiple: from the capital, Santa Rosa, as the head of human resources training with more than 40 undergraduate careers, graduate and postgraduate courses offered at the National University of La Pampa, to the infrastructure, services and advantages offered by the Technological Pole and the General Pico Free Trade Zone for these industries.
