Financing is one of the keys to electronic commerce and the reincorporation of cell phones into the “Now” programs was good news for the brands participating in Cyber Monday.
In this tenth edition of Cyber Monday the participation of “more than 1,050 brands” is planned, in a context of consolidation of electronic commerce as a purchasing modality in Argentine society.
A year ago, in the 2021 edition, 1,023 brands participated, attending to the orders of 3.3 million users who made purchases for a total amount of $38,000 million.
E-commerce: the numbers
In the first half of this year, e-commerce billing increased by 73%, exceeding one billion pesos ($1,090,488 million), compared to the same period last year, according to CACE data.
The data for the first half of the year reflected that “the base of new buyers continues to grow, reaching an increase of 5%, expanding in socioeconomic level and age.”
The increase in the number of purchase orders between the first half of this year and the same period in 2021 was 14%, reaching 91.2 million orders.

“In this context, talking about real growth of 14% is important”; said Sambucetti who highlighted the incorporation of online shopping for both durable goods and recurring purchase categories, such as food and beverages, pharmacy products and food online.
The number of products sold in the first half of 2022 marked a year-on-year increase of 11%, adding 133.8 million units, with an average receipt of $11,946.
The data for the semester showed that 74% of traffic on online sales sites come from mobile devices and 58% of sales are made from established connections from these same devices.
In terms of payment methods, there were no major differences compared to last year, for which the credit card maintains leadership with 74% of operations, followed by the debit card with 10%.
