Kicillof specified, in this sense, that “with the aim of continuing with the transformation and reconstruction of the Province”, the provincial Minister of Finance, Paul Lopez, presented this Friday the main guidelines of the project of Budget and Tax Law 2023 “with a real increase of 123%, compared to the 2019 budget“.
In this regard, he specified that they will be allocated “in key areas such as education, health, security, housing, roads, and water and energy infrastructure.”
In a Twitter thread, the provincial president stated that “public health will remain a priority” when indicating that “we will continue with the expansion of the health system, the reforms in the care modalities and we will invest in the purchase of equipment and supplies”.
Meanwhile, in terms of education, he stressed that “we built 112 new educational buildings, we have completed more than 4,000 works and 1,600 are underway. In addition we guarantee connectivity where the market decides not to invest” for which he maintained that this 2023 budget “will deepen the changes for quality public education”.
Likewise, in his post, he indicated that through the Security Strengthening Program for the Province of Buenos Aires “we are professionalizing the security forces” and maintained that it is “a historic investment in infrastructure and equipment for the Provincial Police and the Buenos Aires Penitentiary System.”
I also indicate that this 2023 budget, he is the second to understand that gender inequality is structural and it must be addressed urgently, which is why he stressed that “the public policies that we promote as a State cannot be planned outside of this perspective.”
Regarding the socio-environmental needs and problems that affect the people of Buenos Aires, Kicillof explained that “in 2021 we will create the Ministry of the Environment” and for this budget “we project an investment that quintuples the values of 2019.”
Finally, the Buenos Aires president remarked that “the Tax Law 2023 project continues with the objective of projecting resources to generate and sustain productive public policies with social inclusion” and assured that as in previous years “we want to provide greater progressivity to the tax structure.”
