As detailed in the resolutions, for small businesses the increase will be 16% on average, while for medium-sized businesses and industries it will be reduced from 15% to 16%.
In the recitals it is clarified that in the invoice “with respect to the table in force as of October 31, 2022, residential users of Level 3 of subcategories from R1 to R3 increase between 3% and 4%. From subcategory R4 to the R9 increase three percentage points approximately for each segment, varying between 5% and 19%”.
Rate segmentation
It should be remembered that the Government advances in parallel with the segmentation of rates by which some users will have differentiated subsidies in their consumption.
Since last week, the first bills for gas and electricity services began to arrive, segmented according to the new categories of users: higher incomes, who will gradually lose subsidies (Level 1); average income, who will pay a rate without subsidies if they exceed a monthly quota (Level 3); and lower income, which maintains the State contribution (Level 2).
On the other hand, it was known in recent days that electricity distributors throughout the country received authorization to pay off debts of $500,000 million in monthly installments for eight years.
With the approval of the 2023 Budget this Wednesday in the Chamber of Deputies, the companies that distribute electricity will enjoy an extra benefit: in the next three months they could implement a rate increase, if approved by the Senate and the ENRE.
