This drove sales in the strongly production-oriented Upper Austrian economy. It starts with the largest industrial company in the country, voestalpine, which has reported records for the most important key figures. All companies that trade in fuel are almost in a league of their own – the increased fuel price is reflected.

But not only companies that are heavily dependent on fossil raw materials have climbed. The fact that private individuals and companies want to “get out of oil” has also driven demand from the producers of biomass heating systems, who have increased their capacities accordingly.
However, the high raw material tangent also means that retailers and service providers have lost significant ground in relation to each other. 17 companies, some of which have been part of the 250 top-selling companies for many years, have fallen out of the ranking.
