In the same act, the head of the Palacio de Hacienda anticipated the sending of some $1,500 million to the Andean provinces in non-refundable contributions to assist producers affected by the drought and a 50-month fixed-rate credit program that will begin to be repaid from month 19.
Regarding the export promotion program, the official indicated the conditions of access will be “to have a contracting agreement” between producers and exporters and that, in turn, the former are part of the Fair Prices program “to guarantee and supply in the Internal market”.
“Specifically, just as at some point we made the decision to promote the agro-export complex of the soybean chain, all income savings to the Fair Prices program and to the producer protection program between November 20 and december, they will have a differentiated and promoted exchange rate,” the official announced.
During it, Massa said: “In some way, the emergency has to force us to work together regardless of political factions.”
In labor matters, the head of the Palacio de Hacienda anticipated that the Repro program will be launched with the Ministry of Labor to prevent job loss.
On the other hand, he publicly asked the governor of radical origin to make the decision to accompany “the effort” of the national State by promoting a reduction in the cost of energy of between 40% and 50% for producers.
The announcements come after the Andean provinces were affected by late frosts, which destroyed much of the production of grapes, cherries, pears, apples, pumpkins and walnut trees.
In his social networks, Massa pointed out that because of these late frosts “these provinces see the effort and work of their producers and the vitality of their regional economies destroyed, from grapes to cherries, from pears and apples, to pumpkins and walnut trees, leaving them in a serious and critical situation”.
Lastly, he said that parallel to the call, the Government is “going to demand that the Inter-American Development Bank open the disbursement process for climatic emergencies, in order to make available the greatest possible amount of resources in order to keep the producing our regional economies”.
