The industry fell slightly in September: it retracted 0.2% monthly

In turn, the Manufacturing Industrial Production Index (Manufacturing IPI) grew 4.2% compared to the same month in 2021 and in the accumulated January-September 2022 it rose 6% compared to the same period in 2021.

In September 2022, thirteen of the sixteen manufacturing divisions were up year-on-year. In order of their incidence in the general level, increases of 2.9% were registered in “Food and beverages”; 14% in “Motor vehicles, bodies, trailers and auto parts”; 7.7% in “Basic metal industries”.

In turn, 9.6% for “Clothes, leather and footwear”; 8.1% in “Non-metallic mineral products”; 2.4% in “Chemical substances and products”; 4.8% in “Machinery and equipment”; 5.4% in “Metal products”; 2.7% in “Wood, paper, publishing and printing”; 6.2% in “Oil refining, coke and nuclear fuel”; 3.1% in “Furniture and mattresses and other manufacturing industries”

It is completed with 3.8% in “Textile products”; and 7.1% in “Other transportation equipment”. For its part, falls of 2.6% were observed in “Rubber and plastic products”; 1.7% in “Other equipment, apparatus and instruments”; and 3.9% in “Tobacco products”.
