The last session of the Salary Council took place on August 22. On that day, the new salary amounts were agreed upon and the “review” date was set for next Tuesday, November 22.
At that meeting, trade unionists and businessmen agreed to update the minimum wage to 21% in three tranches of 7% for the September-November quarter, with a review clause of the agreement that last month, so that credit became 51,200 pesos in September, 54,550 in October and 57,900 pesos in November.
In addition, an increase in unemployment benefits was set: of 14,222 pesos and 23,704 pesos respectively, as of September 1; the amount was raised to 15,153 and 25,254 pesos in October and an increase of 16,083 and 26,805 pesos was established as of November 1.
