There will be trade inspections
Within the framework of inspection operations to corroborate compliance with national agreements, the Ministry of Commerce will sign agreements with mayors to strengthen monitoring, in order to expand the number of inspectors throughout the country.
The Secretariat will give the municipalities “the technical guidelines and the necessary training to carry out the inspections and then the sanction process will be carried out through the usual mechanisms carried out by the Undersecretary of Actions for the Defense of Consumers” , clarified the distribution led by Matías Tombolini.
The agreements “will be replicated with different municipalities throughout the country to reinforce the federal nature of the measure” and, in turn, Commerce specified that “will transfer to the corresponding local authority 25% of the proceeds from fines made in each district.”
In order to guarantee compliance with the agreed price guideline, the Secretariat will continue to monitor price variations on a daily basis through the Argentine Electronic Price Advertising System (SEPA).
