Salaries rose 6.7% in September and beat inflation;  they were below so far this year

In year-on-year terms, The salary index showed a rise of 78.7%, as a result of increases of 80.2% in the registered private sector, 78.2% in the public sector and 74.9% in the non-registered private sector.

It should be remembered that inflation in September was 6.2%, as reported by INDEC, which measures the evolution of prices every month.

The national government convened for next Tuesday, November 22, the members of the National Council for Employment, Productivity and the Minimum, Vital and Mobile Wage, to analyze new increases in the coming months.

The call was made through Resolution 12/2022, published today in the Official Gazette, specifies the text signed by the Minister of Labor, Raquel Olmos.

Last August it had been agreed to update the salary to $57,900 pesos in November.

For her part, the spokeswoman for the Presidency, Gabriela Cerruti, stated last week that “social plans are becoming formal employment” in a context of falling unemployment, and assured that the Government “is committed to ensuring that wages beat inflation,” while offering a press conference at the Casa Rosada.
