Illegal street sales in the City of Buenos Aires rose 24.1 year-on-year in October

By neighborhoods, the Eleventh zone had 5 of the 10 most affected blocks, with a 31.2% share of the total detected in avenues and streets: the most affected block in the entire city was Bartolomé Miter at 2700, where they surveyed 75 illegal stalls; while the second place went to Av. Avellaneda at 2900, with 72 stands.

The most commercialized item was clothing and footwear, which accounted for 72.3% of the total, followed by food and beverages, with 13.8%.

The main illegal marketing center for these categories was zone Eleven.

On the other hand, there was a 6.4% increase in piracy cases compared to September, when a total of 946 cases were detected.

For its part, in La Plata, the capital of Buenos Aires, 80 illegal street sales stalls were detected on avenues, streets and pedestrians, with a decrease of 75% compared to October 2021 and 11.1% compared to the previous month. (September 2022).

The item with the highest participation in the streets, avenues and pedestrians of the La Plata shopping center was clothing and footwear, which represented 46.6% of the items observed; while optics, watches, photography and jewelry came in second place, with 33.8% of the total.
