Another automaker with problems due to lack of supplies: the government’s response

“We have a clear problem, we are solving it every day. There is a lack of dollars as a result of a lot of things (…) there is a record of imports. Argentina is a dependent import, for every point that the industry grows with this model that we are trying to change, imports are growing,” he said in a dialogue with Radio con Vos.

In this sense, he defended the current administration of dollars and assured that “This is going to be fixed, the few dollars we have are destined for production.”

“We meet with the automakers every day, this week we meet again,” he said. For his part, he also remarked that automakers have an additional problem: the chip problem. In this framework, he confided: “We are already with concrete resolutions. We will continue to do so as long as the dollars we can continue to accumulate.”

Nissan returns to production this Monday

nissan will resume the production usual in Argentina as of this Monday, November 14, according to the company itself, after spending a few days with the activity paralyzed since Tuesday, due to missing components necessary for manufacturing.

“We have regularized this situation and we will be resuming the normal operation of our production line,” they confirmed from the firm of Japanese origin. This is the plant where the Frontier pickup is manufactured, located in the province of Córdoba.
