Previously, the “Laser Sources Group” with the companies Iradion and InnoLas was integrated into the Trotec division based in Marchtrenk. As of January 1, 2023, according to a broadcast by the TroGroup group of companies on Friday, it will be separated from the organization and act independently on the market. In the new division based in Wels, the business with laser sources for industrial customers is to be further expanded with almost 100 employees. “Laser sources are the heart of every laser, comparable to the engine of a car. Our market research shows that the market here is growing much faster than general industrial growth,” says company spokeswoman Ute Kliemstein.
Personnel restructuring
The new company division is to be headed by the previous managing director of Trotec, Andreas Penz. Penz’s successor at Trotec will be Peter Kratky, who up until now has been Trotec’s Sales Director. TroGroup Managing Director Norbert Schrüfer will manage the operational business on an interim basis. In the past financial year, the Trotec division generated sales of 154 million euros, which was 19 million more than the core business, stamp production (Trodat). The TroGroup employs 1,970 people in 150 countries worldwide, 590 of them in Austria.
