Inflation is at its highest level since the 1950s. Interest rates are rising, but as an investor you still lose money in real terms. At the OÖN Money Day on Friday, November 25, in the Linz Promenade Galleries, experts will give tips and answer questions. Admission is free, registration is not required. From 10 a.m. the Sparkasse’s Flip2Go bus will be on the promenade. From 10.30 a.m. you can get information at the booths of Palfinger, Hypo Oberösterreich, Münze Österreich, Vienna Insurance Group, Partner Bank, Sparkasse Oberösterreich, Oberbank and ITH Sonnberger. In the morning, 300 students are guests to talk about their financial future with Professor Friedrich Schneider, Raiffeisenlandesbank General Director Heinrich Schaller, blockchain investor Sebastian Holler and Dominik Huber from Young Shareholders.
From 1 p.m. there will be three discussions with four participants each on the topics “What’s left of the money”, “Investment strategy in times of eleven percent inflation” and “How high is my risk, what alternatives do I have?”. Among others, Oberbank board member Martin Seiter and Andrea Lang (Head of Marketing Austrian Mint). There are also talks with representatives of listed companies, such as Rosenbauer boss Sebastian Wolf.
