This increase represents the last increase of the year, and it will be applied to private schools that receive state subsidies. Of the 17,000 private schools in the City, almost 60% receive this benefit, with coverage from 20% to 100%.
The teaching parity closed in mid-September and the unions CTERA, UDA, CEA, AMET and SADOP ended up accepting the initial offer. It includes a raise delivered in three installments, with a total of 82% that will be paid in December. With this, the starting minimum wage will be $77,137 by the end of the year.
PBA: 2023 enrollments also with increase
Tuition for 2023 in the Province of Buenos Aires comes with increases of an average of 50% in private schools with free fees, those that do not have State subsidies.
The schools without State aid already sent the notes with the enrollments for the next school year between September and October. Families have to answer if the student will continue in the same school or give up the place for the next year because they will attend another educational establishment.
According to sources from the Association of Private Education Institutes of the province of Buenos Aires (Aiepba), “it is complex to define an increase for next year taking into account the inflationary spiral.” In turn, they flatly ruled out that there are schools that sent enrollments for 2023 with increases of 100%, rumors that had won the streets in different areas of the province of Buenos Aires.
The raises are up to 55 average. A good part of the schools lean more towards 50%, taking into account inflationary projections and teacher salary agreements.
