Founded in 2016, Roadsurfer is now the European market leader in the outdoor travel sector. The company rents out camping caravans including parking spaces with locations in twelve countries in Europe and also in California.
Roadsurfer is now getting 21 million euros for further growth, as stated in a press release today, Wednesday. 15 million euros of this came from Invest AG, six million euros from existing investors.
“In just five years, Roadsurfer expanded into twelve countries and increased its fleet from 25 to 3500 campers. A steady increase in the fleet is planned for the next few years,” says Christoph Hikes, board member of Invest AG.
The Munich company wants to use the money to continue growing and to open up new markets, especially in Europe, but also in the USA. According to its own information, the campervan rental company has 550 employees and has a turnover of around 100 million euros.
