The Government studies changes in the National Tax Court

On the one hand, the Secretary of Public Revenue indicated that work is being done to provide the TFN with greater independence and autonomy to manage resources, such as hiring personnel.

He also stressed that the rooms should not be separated into customs or tax, but that all should be competent in both issues and have the contribution of legal professionals and economic sciences. Moreover, Licht in this order contributed that due to the characteristics of the topics, the contribution of other professionals is necessary.

The bill, as detailed by Balestrini, covers several axes: competition, technology, public/private collaboration, procedural times and even, it is analyzed, the introduction of orality.

Licht, as president of the TFN, is concerned, along with the aforementioned modifications, the structure and organization, the administrative functioning of the court that needs operational directions that allow, for example, to make purchases, instruct proceedings, etc.

The initiative provides for the implementation of the career within the agency, creating the position of deputy secretary and rapporteur, in order to “retain talent” and not that the staff is co-opted by studios or other agencies.
