Agricultural budget in Upper Austria is increased by 10.6 percent

According to the agricultural state councilor Michaela Langer-Weninger (VP), the additional funds should mainly be used to finance the future fund and investment promotion.

According to Langer-Weninger, 60 percent of the 29,173 farms in Upper Austria would already take part in the Austrian program for environmentally friendly agriculture, which the state is also supporting with 15 million euros.

The distribution key for EU agricultural subsidies has also been changed. While the basic payment will be EUR 208 per hectare in future, an additional redistribution payment of EUR 46 will be paid for the first 20 hectares and EUR 28 for an additional 20 hectares. From a basic payment of 100,000 euros, a cap is provided.
