Lastly, the sectors that registered the lowest increases in their production levels were: Capital goods (+2.7%) and Bodywork, trailers and semi-trailers (+3.7%), two sectors that reflected strong growth during 2022.

The metallurgical activity had grown 7.2% year-on-year in September, while the month-on-month figure rose by 1.5%, with which October reflected a year-on-year slowdown and at the same time a monthly drop.

expectations fall

At the same time, another report from Adimra reveals that Businessmen’s expectations regarding economic activity deteriorate rapidly.

The latest report from the entity shows that for the last three months of the year the number of companies expecting a drop in production went to 37% while those expecting growth decreased to 18%.

In the previous survey carried out by Adimra in Augustthe number of companies that expected an improvement in the following three months was 31% and those that expected a decrease was 25%.

“In relation to production expectations for the next three months, there was a drop in the percentage of companies that foresee an increase in the level of activity, reversing the optimistic trend for the short term that the sector had been reflecting during the first half. of the year”, says ADIMRA in its report.

The work highlights that production expectations by region, the most optimistic province was Buenos Aires (including CABA), where 23% of the companies in the region foresee an increase in activity, followed by Entre Ríos where the percentage of positive vision was 20%.
