AmCham supported the tax information exchange agreement between Argentina and the US

Since AmCham they stressed that the signing of the exchange agreement of automatic financial information between Argentina and the United States represents a more than significant step to continue strengthening bilateral relations and achieve equal tax obligations for all Argentine citizens.

“We emphasize our position on the main challenge that lies ahead: generating opportunities and strengthening national development, which will bring certainties in the midst of a complex and challenging environment, and this is one more step towards that path,” the chamber said in a release.

For the organization, the implementation of the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Law program or FATCA agreement -for its acronym in English Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act-, as of January 1, 2023, has as its main objective fight tax fraudpromoting mechanisms that generate greater transparency and confidence growth in all sectors.
