Construction registered its first year-on-year drop in October since the beginning of 2022

The data of apparent consumption of inputs for construction, in relation to the same month of the previous year, go up from 25.1% in the rest of the inputs (includes taps, seamless steel tubes and glass for construction); 5.4% in plasterboard; 5% on ceramic sanitary ware; 3.1% in finished concrete; 2.4% in round iron and steel for construction and 2.0% in hollow bricks.

Meanwhile, they are observed drops of 24% on asphalt; 23.3% in construction paints; 9.9% in granite and calcareous mosaics; 4.9% in ceramic floors and coverings; 3.3% in plaster; 1.1% in lime and 0.8% in portland cement.

On the other hand, if the variations of the accumulated of the year are analyzed at the interannual level, it is observed increases of 24.6% in the rest of the inputs (includes taps, seamless steel tubes and glass for construction); 15.6% in finished concrete; 10.9% in plasterboard; 9.8% in portland cement; 9.3% in round iron and steel for construction; 8.3% in ceramic sanitary ware; 6.1% in plaster; 5.0% in granite and calcareous mosaics; 4.6% in limes; 4.0% in ceramic floors and coverings and 2.8% in asphalt.

In the meantime decreases of 5.5% are observed in hollow bricks and 1.1% in construction paints.
