With the EIA amendment, a faster expansion of renewable energies should be made possible. A lack of spatial energy planning should no longer be able to block the construction of wind turbines in the future.
The Green environmental spokeswoman Astrid Rössler complained in the “Kurier” that everything was open again with the project. According to the ÖVP, there are “certain aspects” in the draft that “do not serve” the goal of actually accelerating the process.
