Yesterday, the climate ministry confirmed what car importers and leasing companies feared and criticized: The subsidy for e-cars for companies will expire at the end of the year. It will be extended for private individuals.
The Ministry of Climate has announced its own funding scheme for zero-emission commercial vehicles. 100 million euros are available for this in 2023. This is intended for emission-free trucks, vans or articulated lorries.
“A Downer”
The spokesman for the car importers, Günther Kerle, calls the end of the subsidy for company cars a drop of bitterness. “But at least they continue to benefit from the newly introduced investment allowance, input tax deduction and exemption from benefits in kind.”
Slightly stricter criteria apply to hybrid vehicles: These are only funded with 2500 euros if the car can cover 60 kilometers purely electrically. So far, 50 kilometers was enough.
For regions that are currently undersupplied with e-charging stations, a subsidy pot with an additional ten million euros is planned from January.
