More than 7,500 smuggled tires were seized by Customs

The procedures were carried out by specialized agents of the General Directorate of Customs-AFIP, who used non-intrusive control methods such as pallet scanners and Scan Vanswhich allowed us to observe, through the morphology of the packages, that the scanned content was merchandise in violation of the Customs Code for dealing with products of foreign origin that lacked the corresponding customs intervention.

“These actions make me proud because protect the national industry and curb unfair competition. Customs will continue to put a stop to everything that threatens the transparency of international trade,” said the director general of Customs, William Michel.

As a result of the operations, a total of 595 tires165 kilograms of coca leaves, 80 sets of sheets, 2,370 pairs of slippers, 6,400 units of clothing, 250 thermoses, 3,000 toys, textile machines, and bicycles.
