The industrial branches that grew the most

Behind the automotive branch, the highest growth in the month was recorded by the production of non metallic mineralsexplained by a rise in the generation of glass, which occurred from the expansion of capacity in the sector.

Also the Petroleum refining it began to normalize after a fall in October, which had been registered as a result of shutdowns in some plants.

The sectors that fell the most in November

Among the activities that showed a fall, it stands out, within the branch of Food and drinksthe production of beverages, which had its first setback in twenty-six months.

For their part, the chemicals and plasticswith a mixed performance within the block, also showed a significant drop and accumulated four months of contraction.

Data for the first eleven months of the year

On the other hand, taking the first 11 months of the year (January–November) as the reference period compared to the same period of 2021, the automotive production accumulates a growth of 27.4%, with 500,000 units produced, thus exceeding the goal proposed at the beginning of the year and is on track to close 2022 with the highest production record since 2015, when 527,000 units were manufactured.

With growth far behind, are the production of non metallic mineralswith an advance of 7.2%, that of the basic metal industries, show an increase of 6.2% and paper and cellulose, register an increase of 5.3%, while Metal-mechanics has a growth of 3, 7%, cigarette shipments have a recovery of 3.6% and oil processing increased 3.5%.

The production of food and beverages (+1.6%) and that of textile inputs (+0.4%) were placed with a lower than average rise. And, finally, the Chemicals and Plastics block, which in November had a four-month decline, in the year-on-year comparison, began to cut the level of production compared to that reached in the first eleven months of last year, accumulating a decline of 1 .6%

In terms of the contribution to industry growth in the January-November period, the largest contribution was made by automotive production, with more than 50%followed by metal-mechanics, reaching a joint contribution of 75% of the progress of the period.
