It should be remembered that during the month of December the Soybean Dollar II program was in force, offering $230 for each currency obtained from the export of the oilseed.

With respect to corn of the 21/22 harvest, it takes sold 75.7% of the 59 million tons that were harvested, according to the latest official report published this Tuesday. This number is found by below the 77.9% that had been sold at the same time during the 20/21 cycle.

The corn planting of the 2022/23 cycle began in September in Argentina, the third world exporter of cereal, where the spring, which was the driest in the last 35 years according to the Rosario Stock Exchange, hit the development of sown grains.

With respect to wheatuntil last week they had been sold 6.6 million tons of the 2022/23 campaign, which represents the 49% of the total planned production.

As a consequence of the drought, which the National Meteorological Service (SMN) predicts will continue for a few more months, the Government estimated that the 22/23 wheat harvest would be only 13.4 million tons.

As a result of the drought, the first projections prepared by the Rosario Stock Exchange anticipate that the liquidation of the main agro-export complexes would accumulate this year some US$33,500 million, versus the more than US$40.4 billion of the previous year, which marks a decline of 17.5% year-on-year.

During 2022, the producers demanded from the Government measures to capture part of the profit that was being generated in food production due to high international prices, which skyrocketed from the war in Ukraine, one of the main food producers in the world.
