“Although the absolute volumes of activity for December are lower than previous periods due to the seasonality of closures for holidays, the volume of daily production continues to reflect the consolidation of significant year-on-year growth”explained Martin Galdeano, president of ADEFA when analyzing the December closing and 2022 balance.

Regarding the annual behavior, the manager indicated: “Even in the face of the challenging international context in terms of semiconductor supply and logistics, added to the local situation, production and export volumes posted significant year-on-year growth. This is a reflection of the commitment and joint work assumed by the value chain and the Government to find operational solutions that prioritize production and exports.”

Regarding the behavior for 2023, the manager anticipated: “It is premature to give an annual projection, and as we usually do at ADEFA, we wait for the development of the first quarter to share estimates. However, we can say that we expect the year 2022 to be positioned as the floor for the level of our operations”.

In this sense, Galdeano stressed that this expectation is based on the plans advanced by the terminals to increase production due to greater external demand. “This industrial and commercial expectation is accompanied by the investment plans that were announced in the last 24 months and exceed USD1.4 billion (2020/2022)”, highlighted the head of ADEFA.

Likewise, and as a plan for this year, Galdeano emphasized the need to “continue working together with the value chain and national authorities on an agenda focused mainly on the implementation of the investment promotion law, the development of local autoparts, the improvement of competitiveness to produce and export, the opening of new markets and a regulatory framework on sustainable mobility so that Argentina is positioned among the first countries in the region to have a regulatory framework in this regard”.
