Street sales in December increased 17.8% compared to November

The ten most affected blocks contained 61% of the total stalls located on streets, avenues and pedestrian streets, although they represented 25% of the total blocks affected, which suggests a certain concentration of illegal street vending activity.

The most traded item was Clothing and footwear, which covered 71.6%, followed by Food and beverages with 11.8% of the total. The main center of illegal trade for those categories was Zone Eleven, between the avenues and streets and the September 11 station, between the stations and squares.

On the other hand, registered a 1.8% increase in hacking cases compared to november, when a total of 980 cases were detected. Zone Eleven led the counterfeit clothing and footwear and Zone Withdrawal the one of Optics, photography, watches and jewelry.

In the silverWere detected 189 stalls of illegal street sale in the avenues, streets and pedestrians. This value was much higher than the previous one, increasing a 136.3% compared to November 2022, but it was 37.8% below the value of December 2021.

Analyzing the most affected blocks were:

  • italy square (Calle 7 and 44), with 75 stalls. This is 39.7% of the total number of positions surveyed on city streets.
  • 7th street (to 950 with 14 positions and to 700 with 10 positions with a participation of 7.4% and 5.3% respectively).

The item with the greatest participation in the streets, avenues and pedestrians of the La Plata shopping center was Clothing and footwear, which represented 68.0% of the items observed. For its part, Optics, watches, photography and jewelry was in second place, with 14.2% of the total.
