Just a few months ago, homebuyers who found their own home in recent years and are now paying it off were happy. Because many of them still have really low loan interest rates in their contracts: If you bought a year ago, with luck you would still pay around one percent debit interest for the house loan in January 2022. The building interest rate has never been so low before – and not anymore afterwards. Anyone who financed in 2017 and 2018 was able to secure around 1.5 percent, mostly for a term of 15 years. That seems extremely favorable today in view of the rise in interest rates to 3.5 percent.
