In this sense, it should be noted that the Management never requests Payments neither personal information via email, social networks or by phone. Therefore, if you receive any of those requests, it is likely that you are being victim of a scam.

Recommendations to avoid scams on the Internet, according to the Ministry of Security

  • Never reply to emails that ask for personal information and do not click on the link they share with you.
  • Protect your information with passwords that are difficult to guess and, if you can, change them periodically.
  • A bank or a public body will never ask you to change your personal data or passwords online, through a link sent in an email, through social networks or through a phone call. Do not share your information!
  • It is important that you pay attention to the wording of the message or the link sent. Many times, it is almost imperceptible, but somewhere they reveal the fraud: spelling mistakes or alterations in the url that is supposedly official.
  • Do not trust promotional notices, gifts, discounts, loans or any cut in service. It is necessary that you always corroborate the veracity.
  • If you can, it’s important to use two-factor authentication on all apps.
  • If you have to change your password, make sure you always do it from the official site of the bank or from the application.
  • If you are contacted by a public or private body via WhatsApp, check the authentication logo of the public body being contacted.

If you have doubts about where to report, remember that you can always do so at police stations, prosecutor’s offices or through line 137.
